Here are copies of the infamous memos prepared by White House Legal Council and Justice Department Lawyers explaining the rules and legal requirements for interrogation of al Qaeda suspects that were picked up by our military while conducting operations against TERRORISTS.  These people do not fall under jurisdiction of the Geneva Conventions, since they were not in uniform, but that is an inconvenient FACT.

Never the less, President Bush made sure that these humans were treated respectfully, and NEVER tortured as defined by U.S. Military Code or Conventions signed by the U.S.
